Fast-track process in transport mergers
The Transport Ministry is fast-tracking the merging of public transport companies, with buses and trolleys coming under the Road Transport SA company.
At the same time the Athens metro, tram and Piraeus-to-Kifissia electric railway (ISAP) will become one company to be named Track-Based Transport.
Under the new status, employees of the two firms will be invited to sign new collective labor contracts.
