Cyprus ?needs no outside help?

Cypriot Finance Minister Kikis Kazamias told Skai TV on Wednesday in an exclusive interview that he rejects the possibility of the country entering the European support mechanism.

However he does accept the idea that some people will try to push Cyprus in that direction: ?We do not want others to be involved in our effort to resolve our problems,? he stated, revealing however that a mission from the International Monetary Fund will visit Cyprus at the end of September.

?We hope that with our second package of measures Cyprus will avoid another credit rating downgrade that would be painful,? said Kazamias.
