Major rise reported in summer resort bookings in June
According to tourism sector representatives, June will see an increase of about 20 percent year-on-year in bookings at the country’s popular summer resorts, while the picture for July and August is also particularly encouraging.
Market professionals told Kathimerini that the political crisis which has shaken the Greek government has not affected bookings, with one of them saying that “on the foreign tour operator level there is nothing negative about the country.”
Expectations for a record 17 million tourists from abroad this year are now shared by all in the sector.
