National Bank of Greece may raise 6 bln euros in 2012

National Bank of Greece SA (ETE) may proceed with a 3.5 billion-euro ($4.6 billion) share capital increase as part of a capital enhancement plan to raise as much as 6 billion euros in the first-half of 2012, Euro2day.gr said, without citing anyone.

National Bank?s four-step plan also includes selling shares amounting to as much as 30 percent of its Turkish unit Finansbank AS by the end of February, raising 1 billion euros through the sale of preference shares to the Greek state and selling hotel units in Vouliagmeni, south of Athens, the news site reported.
