Cyprus bank lending up 11 pct in February

Cyprus bank lending in February rose 11 percent from a year earlier to 68.6 billion euros as business loans rose, the Central Bank of Cyprus said.

Loans to non-financial corporations climbed 12 percent to 31.2 billion euros, the regulator said in a statement on Wednesday.

Loans to other financial intermediaries surged 27 percent to 9.2 billion euros.

Household lending rose 5 percent to 27 billion euros, the bank said.

Deposits were up 0.1 percent at 69.6 billion euros.
