World?s biggest wind park approved

The Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) approved on Thursday a license for the construction of the world?s biggest offshore wind park, consisting of 81 turbines with a total capacity of 498.15 megawatts.

City Electric, a subsidiary of RF Energy, will invest a total of 2 billion euros in the project, which will be located northeast of the island of Limnos, in the northern Aegean.

It will be linked to the mainland at Xanthi in Thrace.
