Administration minister vows to protect public sector jobs
Greek Administration and e-Governance Minister Antonis Manitakis repeated the government?s commitment to protect jobs in the civil service amid an overhaul.
?We must give a strong message of decisiveness,» Manitakis told reporters in Athens on Friday after a meeting led by Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on administrative reform.
He said the aim was to have a review of all ministry structures completed by the end of August with a view to cutting operating expenditure by 30 percent. [Bloomberg]
