Troika to focus on Cyprus banks
Cyprus?s Finance Ministry confirmed a second visit by officials from the European Commission, International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank began on Monday and is due to be completed by Friday.
The visit by the so-called troika is at a technocratic and political level and will have the banking sector as its main focus, the Nicosia-based ministry said in an e-mailed statement.
The meetings also aim at forging common views on the main challenges facing the Cypriot economy and the most appropriate solutions, the statement said.
