Friday last deadline for e-tax returns
The Finance Ministry has given a further, unofficial extension to Friday to the deadline for the electronic submission of income tax returns for 2011.
Those that avail themselves of this last opportunity will not pay any fines or surcharges, and will also have the right to pay the tax in installments. Those with family incomes of up to 60,000 euros will be able to pay their income tax in seven installments, the first deadline being August 31.
Installments cannot be lower than 300 euros. Those that have already paid part of the tax can also pay off the rest in installments. Further details will be posted on the ministry?s site (www.gsis.gr or www.taxisnet.gr) next week.
