TANKERS Stable conditions in the Med., with a number of Aframax been fixed at W/S 185-190 while Suezmaxes are fixed at W/S 175-180 ex novo with destination Med. – Voyages with destination USAC are fixed at W/S 150. – In the N. Sea, Aframax are holding at W/S 165 with Suezmaxes at W/S 145 for transatlantic voyages. – Caribs on Aframax quieter, while Suezmaxes out of W. Africa are at about W/S 150 for early dates. Tonnage is thin up to 15-20 June. – VLCCs weaker, with latest fixtures at W/S 75 for China/Japan destination. – In the Med., CSSA for 80,000 tons of cargo loading June 6 Egypt, discharging UKC/Med., has fixed M/T «Eagle Corona» at W/S 190. – In the Cont., CSSA for 80,000 tons of cargo loading June 6 East Coast UK, discharging UKC, has fixed M/T «Spoul Spirit» at W/S 160. – In Caribs, Blanchard has fixed M/T «Genmar Alexandra» for 70,000 tons of cargo loading June 11 East Coast Mexico, discharging US Gulf at W/S 162.5. DRY CARGO Quieter conditions in all areas, with indices reacting accordingly. Baltic index moved downward in the last two days by 34 points totaling to 2,303, while the bulkcarriers index has lost 30 points totaling 3,125. – Latest fixtures on Capers is that of Glory Wealth and M/V «New Brisk,» 168,421 dwt, built 1995, delivery S. Japan June 1-5, trip via Australia, redelivery China at USD 31,000 daily. – On Panamax in Far East, Transfield has fixed M/V «Angelic Glory,» 75,007 dwt, built 2002, delivery Hong Kong May 23-25, for 5-7 months’ trading at USD 16,250 daily. – In Atlantic, Bunge Rome has fixed M/V «National Star,» 73,751 dwt, built 1997, delivery US Gulf May 26-28, redelivery Med. at USD 16,500 daily and USD 300,000 ballast bonus. – On smaller sizes, Pan Ocean has fixed M/V «Agia Eirini,» 45,262 dwt, built 1994, delivery 19-21 Taiwan, trip via Australia, redelivery Far East at USD 12,000 daily. – On grain cargoes, Taho for 54,000 tons of cargo loading US Gulf June 4-17, discharging Japan, has fixed at USD 32.50 per ton with 11 days all purposes.
