Greek farming exports among world?s most popular

Greece is the number one supplier of fresh fish to Italy, accounting for 38.5 percent of all seafood imports in the neighboring country, according to a survey conducted by the Panhellenic Exporters? Association.

Greece is the top supplier of 35 agricultural and farming products to 14 countries and the second-biggest supplier of 23 products to 17 countries, ranking Greece among the top five exporters of farming products to 26 countries, ranging from Bulgaria to Australia.

The European Union is the main market for Greek farming products, but its share has dropped from 79 percent in 1988 to 62 percent in 2010.
