Hospital doctors begin a three-day stoppage to Wednesday. Journalists hold a 24-hour strike and a rally to Parliament at noon. Bar associations across the country announced a five-day abstention from work until Friday.

Workers? unions GSEE and ADEDY and employers? unions ESEE and GSEVEE to hold a 48-hour strike through Wednesday. There will be no trains or ships, as well as no urban public transport in Athens and Thessaloniki. Taxis will also be on strike. Air traffic controllers will stop working between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Private doctors and dentists to stage a 48-hour stoppage, too. Unions will hold two rallies in central Athens starting at 10.30 and 11 a.m.

Pharmacies will be closed due to a 24-hour strike. Duty pharmacies will be open. Journalists to hold a three-hour stoppage from 4-7 p.m. There will be no taxis, trains or ships, while Thessaloniki buses will hold a work stoppage from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Unions to hold a rally in central Athens at 5 p.m.

THURSDAY

Discussions on the state budget for 2013 begin at the plenary session of Parliament.
