Bourse prices see happy end to bailout saga

Investors at the Greek bourse appear to have factored in a successful conclusion to Monday’s Eurogroup meeting that will likely give the green light for the next bailout tranche to Athens, as Thursday’s positive results for more than 100 stocks illustrated.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 846.80 points, adding 1.99 percent to Wednesday’s closing figure of 830.27 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index expanded 2.61 percent to close at 304.27 points.

In total 104 stocks grew, 53 declined and 19 remained unchanged.

Turnover amounted to 77.7 million euros, against Wednesday’s 64.7 million.
