No deal for Finansbank, says NBG
The National Bank of Greece on Friday dismissed reports about talks for the sale of its Turkish subsidiary, Finansbank.
“After questions by reporters, National Bank announces that it is not in negotiations with anyone with respect to Finansbank, nor have there been any negotiations on this issue, that is often discussed in the media for no reason,” the statement read.
It followed reports noting that both HSBC and Qatar were interested in acquiring one of National’s most profitable assets.
