Bourse still on rising course

Greek stocks continued to rally unabated on Thursday, despite talk of Intralot pulling out of the running for OPAP’s state stake.

Banks led the way again, as within the last three days their index has gained no less than 33.8 percent.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 926.91 points, growing by 2.63 percent from Wednesday’s 903.13 points. The large-cap FTSE/ATHEX-25 rose 3.38 percent to 305.35 points.

The usual suspects outperformed again as Eurobank climbed by 28.57 percent and National added 15.19 percent, while Intralot gave up 4.15 percent.

In total 107 stocks posted gains, 33 suffered losses and 25 remained unchanged.

Turnover amounted to 66.1 million euros, down from Wednesday’s 68 million.
