Contributions at fund for self-employed down by 8.5% January-April

Social security contributions paid by self-employed Greeks fell by 8.5 percent in the first four months of the year compared to the same period in 2012, Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis informed Parliament.

Vroutsis said that the decline was within forecasts for the 2013 budget. He also said that as of December last year, the fund for the self-employed, OAEE, was owed 5.9 billion euros in contributions.
