Industry’s new orders index posted y-o-y drop of 13.4% in May

The New Orders Index in Industry fell by 13.4 percent in May compared with the same month in 2012, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Friday.

In May 2012, the annual rate of change of the New Orders Index in Industry was –5.2 percent.

The average New Orders Index in Industry for the 12-month period from June 2012 to May 2013 compared with the period from June 2011 to May 2012, decreased by 6.7 percent.

In May 2012, the corresponding average rate of change of the New Orders Index in Industry was –5.5 percent.
