Russian billionaire Rybolovlev holds talks in Athens over possible tourism projects
Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev may be interest in investing in Greece’s tourism sector, according to reports.
Rybolovlev held talks with Deputy Development Minister Notis Mitarakis in Athens on Thursday and reportedly expressed an interest in marinas and small hotel developments.
“Greece is an interesting country for investment,” said a spokesman for the Russian businessman, who is 119th on Forbes’s list of billionaires.
Rybolovlev gained prominence in Greece earlier this year when his daughter, Ekaterina, bought the Ionian island of Skorpios, once owned by Aristotle Onassis.
