Gov’t, banks and firms to hold major US roadshow
The Greek government and several local banks and corporations are looking forward to making crucial contacts with foreign firms and Greek-American entrepreneurs in New York in the context of the 15th Annual Investor Forum – Greece, titled “An Era of Opportunity.”
Organized by New York Stock Exchange and CapitalLink, the forum will take place on December 17 at the Metropolitan Club and is expected to be something of an extended roadshow for the Greek economy.
Greek Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras intends to take part, along with the head of Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA), Stelios Papadopoulos. The directors of state sell-off fund TAIPED and of Invest in Greece will also attend, given that the forum also aims at attracting interest in the Greek privatizations program.
One of the forum’s focal points will be energy, with Deputy Minister for Energy Asimakis Papageorgiou also taking part. The event’s main sponsor is Citi, while major investment firms such as Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and BNP Paribas will be present as well.
