Concentration continues on local bourse

Investor interest continued to focus on a narrow range on stocks on the local bourse on Thursday, with just 10 blue chips grabbing 87 percent of turnover, which was unusually high due to the Metka package sale, while the benchmark index inched higher.

Metka’s trading volume was over 45 million euros with its package transaction that saw its stock price slide 7.19 percent. National Bank posted the biggest rise with gains of 4.12 percent, while Marfin Investment Group climbed 3.33 percent.

In total 71 stocks moved up, 55 headed lower and 21 stayed put.
