Greek 2013 deficit at 12.2 pct of GDP, debt at 174.9 pct, revised data shows

Greece’s general government deficit was 22.3 billion euros or 12.2 percent of gross domestic product in 2013, according to revised data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Monday.

In April, ELSTAT had estimated the deficit at 12.7 percent of GDP.

ELSTAT also announced that Greece’s public debt last year came to 319.1 billion euros, or 174.9 percent of GDP, against a 175.1 percent.
