TBEX brings together 800 travel bloggers in Athens
Over 800 travel bloggers and writers were expected to meet in Athens on Thursday, the first day of the TBEX Europe 2014 conference, an annual gathering of travel industry professionals.
Besides bloggers, the event brings together new media content creators and social media experts from 50 countries.
The event takes place in the Greek capital following efforts made by the City of Athens, Mayor Giorgos Kaminis said at a press conference on Wednesday, while Tourist Minister Olga Kefaloyianni noted the importance of such an event with regard to efforts being made for Athens to be promoted as a city tourism destination.
Th conference runs at the Athens Concert Hall’s conference center through Saturday.
