Church meets with Greek industry reps to boost religious tourism

Representatives of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod and of the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (HATTA) met last week to discuss ways to jointly promote religious tourism in Greece.

The two sides agreed on the need for the creation of a joint committee to examine and resolve all issues regarding this form of special-interest tourism and for closer cooperation between the Church and the travel industry.
