AmCham: Greek economy needs swift deal and innovation
The Greek market is in great need of a swift agreement between the government and its creditors, reiterated Simos Anastasopoulos, the head of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, adding that “the confirmation of the country’s steady orientation toward the European framework constitutes the only option and an absolute priority for an end to the uncertainty and for the restoration of confidence in the prospects of the Greek economy.”
Addressing the chamber’s “Education, Innovation, Entrepreneurship” conference in Thessaloniki on Tuesday, he went on to call for a new growth plan for Greece, “with innovation being the determining factor in changing the financial model, as this would be a long process to combine research, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and funding risks.”
