MONDAY -Development Minister Akis Tsochadzopoulos and Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Christodoulakis visit London. They are expected to meet with British government officials to discuss Greek tourism and related Olympic works, the deregulation of the energy market in Greece, the privatization program, etc. Both are also to attend a conference on Britain-Greece: A New Perspective, organized by the Greek-British Chamber of Commerce. -Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Zafeiropoulos to meet with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko. Energy and natural gas will top the agenda. A protocol on economic, industrial and technological cooperation between Athens and Moscow is expected to be signed. -The Hellenic Post Office (ELTA) and Post Office Savings Bank to sign a cooperation memorandum. -Farmers will hold a demonstration in Thessaloniki and Trikkala, protesting against low cotton prices, and demanding that tobacco subsidies not be reduced or abolished. -The Association of Industries in Thessaly and Central Greece is to hold a conference on Greek Business before the Euro. At the Xenia Hotel in Volos. WEDNESDAY -State budget for 2001 to be tabled in Parliament. FRIDAY -Economy and Finance Minister Nikos Christodoulakis to chair a broad meeting on the part-privatization of the Public Power Corporation (PPC). Development Minister Akis Tsochadzopoulos to confer with PPC officials.
