Special task force to pave way for bank recapitalization
The Finance Ministry announced on Wednesday the creation of a special task force to accelerate and coordinate the difficult business of recapitalizing the Greek credit system once again.
The ministry, the Bank of Greece and the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF) are represented in the working group that will immediately start studying the options available so that whatever government emerges from the September 20 elections will be able to hit the ground running.
The announcement follows a meeting between BoG Governor Yannis Stournaras and Finance Minister Giorgos Houliarakis on Tuesday.
