Houliarakis: Athens is committed to bailout requirements

Representing the Greek state in London on Thursday, interim Finance Minister Giorgos Houliarakis explained why private investment funds should participate in the recapitalization of Greek banks.

Addressing international fund managers in the context of the 10th Annual Greek Roadshow, organized by the Athens Exchange, he assured his audience that Greece remains ‘totally committed to the implementation of its agreement with its creditors’ and described the restoration of international confidence in the country as a necessary step toward that.

He added that the probing of bank assets and portfolios will be completed by mid-October.
