Decision expected on Athenian Brewery’s alleged market abuse
Komotini-based Macedonian-Thrace Brewery welcomed on Monday the announcement that the Greek competition commission will “finally” issue a decision on its investigation of Athenian Brewery (producer of the local versions of Amstel and Heineken) regarding the latter’s possible dominant position in the domestic market by the end of November.
Macedonian-Thrace Brewery, producer of the Vergina brand, commented however that it continues to be concerned by the extraordinary length of the commission’s investigation, which began well over 10 years ago.
