Eurobank officials conclude Cyprus visit

Leading officials of the Eurobank group on Tuesday completed a two-day visit to Cyprus during which they held meetings with the island’s Finance Minister Harris Georgiades and Central Bank Governor Chrystalla Georghadji. They also attended a scheduled board meeting of Eurobank Cyprus.

Eurobank chairman Nikolaos Karamouzis told the Cypriot officials that Cyprus constitutes a destination of strategic importance for the group and that Eurobank’s objective is to further expand its presence on the island and its role in the Cypriot economy, according to a Eurobank statement.
