Summer sales window opens through end of August
Summer sales began on Monday across the country and will run all the way through August 31 in a bid to boost sluggish commerce.
Shops in the capital will also have the option to open on Sunday, July 17, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to a recommendation by the Athens Traders’ Association.
Shopkeepers are obliged by law to display both the pre-discount and the discount price of every item on sale, though they do not have to indicate the percentage of the discount.
