Tender for Danube bridge extended by two weeks, until September 29
SOFIA (Reuters) – Bulgaria has extended by two weeks, until Sept. 29, the deadline for filing offers for construction of a 236-million-euro bridge over the Danube River, the Transport Ministry said yesterday. Bulgaria has short-listed five groups for the bridge, which will link it with Romania. They include a tie-up between Germany’s Hochtief and Spanish builder Obrascon Huarte Lain, as well as a consortium led by France’s Bouygues and another by Vinci.
