Economy Minister Giorgos Alogoskoufis (c) sounded the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on November 16 as part of events marking ‘Greek Day at NYSE.’ The events preceded the 8th Capital Link New York Forum at the Pierre Hotel on the following day, titled ‘Greece in the Era of Reforms: Business and Investment Opportunities in Greece Today,’ which was sponsored by NYSE, investment banks Morgan Stanley, UBS, Citigroup, Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan, the Business Council for International Understanding and the New York Association for International Investments. The forum was attended by more than 600 members of the business community. Coinciding with the events, Capital Link (www.capitallink.com) published a special 90-page ‘Handbook on Investing in Greece.’
