Hirings in public enterprises…
Economy Minister Giorgos Alogoskoufis (center) yesterday chaired a meeting attended by Employment Minister Fani Palli-Petralia (left), Development Minister Christos Folias (second right) and Transport Minister Costis Hatzidakis. The ministers decided to amend the law to stop new hirings in public enterprises which fail to submit business plans or quarterly financial statements. The government hopes to contain the growing deficits of public organizations.
