Neighbors pick Greece for vacations
Greece has become a favorite holiday spot for vacationing Romanians and Bulgarians. According to research prepared by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Greece topped the list of popular holiday destinations for Romanians. In 2007, some 200,000 Romanians visited Greece and this figure is expected to rise by at least 20 percent. Moreover, the same data show that 1.17 million people from Bulgaria visited Greece this year, up 117 percent from 2006.
