TUESDAY Economy and Finance Minister Yiannis Papathanassiou is expected to meet with representatives of the National Confederation of Greek Commerce (ESEE) at 10.30 a.m. The minister is then scheduled to meet with representatives of the public sector workers’ union, ADEDY, at 1.30 p.m. before addressing an event organized by Helexpo at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in central Athens at 8 p.m. The European Commission’s sustainable development awards to Greek businesses are to be presented at the Gaia Center (100 Othonos, Kifissia) at 7 p.m. Recipients are Vodafon-Panafon, Aktor, Aldemar Hotels & Spa, Frigoglass, Piscines Ideales, Central Greece Proteins and Christoforos Keridis Techniki Emporiki. THURSDAY Launch of a guide for journalists titled «The Media and Children’s Rights.» At the General Secretariat for Information’s press bureau (11 Frangoudi, Kallithea), 9.30 a.m. Haralambos Yerakitis will hold a press conference about a new political party titled «New 21st Century» at the Foreign Press Association (23 Academias), at noon. FRIDAY Lecture by Ambassador Vladimir Chizhov, permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union, on «Russia-EU Relations: Promoting a Strategic Partnership.» Held by the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP).
