Papoulias visits Danish RES facilities

Greek President Karolos Papoulias (center) was in the Danish port of Amaliehaven yesterday during a three-day visit to Denmark. Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik Andre Henrik Christian (left of Papoulias) showed the Greek president, who was escorted by Deputy Foreign Minister Theodoros Kassimis and a business delegation, the Middelgrunden wind farm that includes offshore facilities. Denmark is considered to be one of the European Union’s leaders in the development of renewable energy sources. Papoulias, whose trip to Denmark winds up this evening, is scheduled to visit the Danish parliament today ahead of a meeting with the country’s Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
