Greek stocks slip 0.81 percent

Greek stocks fell yesterday, ending a five-session winning streak, but held the 2,800-point mark. The Athens bourse’s benchmark general index eased 0.81 percent to 2,807.89 points, in line with soft performances on major European bourses. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index retreated 0.73 percent to 1,503.54 points. Geniki Bank, which soared 25 percent on Monday, fell 11.20 percent to 1.11 euros, while Eurobank edged 2.11 percent lower to 11.15 euros. The mid-cap FTSE/ATHEX 40 index shed 1.81 percent while the small-cap FTSE/ATHEX 80 index fell 2.33 percent. Turnover reached 351 million euros versus 350 million euros in the previous session.
