Api has fixed M/T «Framura» loading Sidi Kerir July 7, discharging Falconara, at the above-mentioned rate. – Cont. with a lack of activity. However, the latest fixtures are still being concluded at around W/S 130. Gunvor has fixed M/T «Nissos Christiana» delivery Tallin (Esthonia) July 8, discharging UKC, at W/S 128.75. – Caribs steadily improving. Rates for the 70,000-ton cargoes have moved upward from W/S 130 to W/S 160. Blanchard has fixed M/T «Deneb» loading July 3 East Coast Mexico, discharging US Gulf, at W/S 155. – Weak conditions still prevail in W. Africa on Suezmaxes due to VLCCs fixtures. The 130,000-ton cargoes are being fixed at W/S 62.5-65 with destination US Gulf / USAC. – Med. firmer due to Black Sea activity. Exxonmobil has fixed M/T «Minerva Nounou» for 135,000 tons of cargo loading July 13, discharging Savona, at W/S 80. DRY CARGO Capers on the right path in the Atlantic basin. Tubarao / Rotterdam run has jumped by 50 cents in the last 2 trading days, while in the East weak conditions still persist. – Panamaxes in the Atlantic are stable with a good demand on short T/C periods. Abt has fixed M/V «Amalia» 75,100 dwt, built 2000, delivery Spain end June for 2 laden legs, redelivery UKC, at USD 6,900 daily, while Hanjin has fixed M/V «Antwerpia» 68,789 dwt, built 1990, delivery Italy early July for 3-5 month period option, redelivery Far East, at USD 7,250 daily. – On the grain run, MSK for 54,000 tons of grain loading end July US Gulf, discharging Japan, has fixed at USD 18.25 per ton with 11 days all purposes. – In Far East, HMM has fixed M/V «North Prince» 75,5422 dwt, built 199, delivery N. China end June, redelivery Japan, at USD 9,000 daily. – In the Atlantic, Wilmar has fixed M/V «Shekou Sea» 72,394 dwt, built 1996, delivery Brazil July 1-5, redelivery China, at USD 8,000 daily and USD 120,000 ballast bonus. – On smaller sizes, Tschudi & Eitzen has fixed M/V «Coral Gem» 45,320 dwt, built 1995, delivery beg. July Thailand, redelivery W. Africa, at USD 5,500 daily. Therefore, the team is planning a conference to be held in the fall with the participation of the high school teachers’ federation (OLME) and the Panhellenic Union of Language Teachers.
