MONDAY In preparation for the Easter holiday, stores are set to remain open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 1 to 7 p.m. on Good Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Easter Saturday. Transport Minister Dimitris Reppas holds a press conference at 12.30 p.m. on unprofitable air routes. Defense Minister Evangelos Venizelos begins a visit to Russia. He is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Anatoliy Eduardovich Serdyukov and attend talks on bilateral cooperation on defense and security issues. Venizelos will also meet with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kyrillos. TUESDAY The Union of Prefectural Authorities of Greece (ENAE) is meeting to discuss the Kallikratis Plan, which proposes that the 76 prefectures of Greece be replaced by 13 larger regions. Thessaloniki Prefect Panayiotis Psomiadis and the President of the Black Sea Center Constantinos Adamidis organize an event to welcome the orphaned children from Georgia that are to be housed by the Aghia Veroniki Orphanage in Halkidiki. The children will receive gifts and Easter candles at 1.30 p.m. Unicef in Greece is organizing an Easter bazaar, presenting its new spring collection of gifts and items. Held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the three-day bazaar will run through Good Friday, April 1.
