Morocco lotteries for Intralot
Lottery systems provider Intralot has won a five-year contract to operate Morocco’s two state lotteries, the Greek firm said yesterday. Intralot, which runs sports betting games in more than a dozen countries, said it will manage the Moroccan lotteries’ gaming portfolio, including sports betting, instant lotteries and entertainment games. It did not disclose the price of the contract, which can be renewed for two more years. «We have identified early in the process the great potential of the Moroccan market, and have embraced [the Moroccan] lotteries’ vision to evolve and grow their operations,» Intralot CEO Constantinos Antonopoulos said in a statement. The Moroccan lotteries share a network that exceeds 1,400 points of sale. Intralot said it plans to expand it by installing more than 4,500 terminals and introducing interactive gaming channels. It will also offer additional services such as marketing, technical maintenance and warehousing.
