Stocks home in on 2,100 points

Greek stocks climbed yesterday, approaching the 2,100-point mark, but turnover remained thin ahead of the Easter break. The Athens bourse benchmark general index added 1.33 percent to 2,095.02 points, boosted by late-session buying. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index climbed 1.43 percent to 1,040.36 points. Coca-Cola Hellenic performed strongly, adding 4.41 percent to 20.84 euros, and jeweler Folli Follie jumped 4.67 percent to 17.50 euros. The Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) moved ahead 3.15 percent to 13.44 euros and Bank of Cyprus ended at 4.88 euros, up 4.27 percent for the day. Turnover eased to 104.3 million euros versus 133 million in the previous session. The Athens stock exchange will be closed today and Monday due to the Easter break.
