Piraeus Bank CEO Michalis Sallas (second from right) said he expects loan impairments to stay high this year and annual profits to be flat even before provisions. Speaking to shareholders yesterday, he said Greece’s banking system had shown resilience to the crisis with capital adequacy remaining strong.
