OTE announces reorganization plans to employees
OTE telecom’s administration announced its reorganization plan to its employees yesterday, which is meant to turn the group into a more effective structure with lower operating costs. The plan provides for 2,000 fewer workers in the mother company through the merging of the corporation’s support units, retail networks etc. Proposals include merging the retail chains of Germanos, Cosmote and OTEshops as well as a reduction in the number of telephony centers across the country, currently 27 outlets, and of OTE network support centers, from the existing four.
