Myrtos Beach is one reason why Cephalonia is among the top tourism destinations in Greece, showing a rise in hotel occupancies compared to last season, along with Skiathos, Skopelos and the Dodecanese islands. However, the total drop in tourism revenues this year could reach as much as 20 percent, according to Panhellenic Hoteliers Federation president Andreas Andreadis.
