OTE is considering selling its stake in Telekom Srbija
In the event that Deutsche Telekom becomes the strategic investor in Telekom Srbija, OTE telecom is considering selling its 20 percent stake in the Serb firm. OTE intends to sell its holding to the German company to acquire funds that will cover other needs, such as paying off bonds that will come to 2.2 billion euros in 2011. The move would also signify some major capital gains for OTE, as its holding is valued at 155 million euros in its books, while Telekom Srbija is valued at 2 billion euros.
