Cyprus will press ahead…

Cyprus will press ahead with hydrocarbon exploration in the eastern Mediterranean, denying claims it would back down because of friction with Turkey. Industry Minister Antonis Paschalides said yesterday Cyprus would move ahead with a second licensing round for offshore blocks when it was ready but did not provide any further details. ‘We have the political will and are handling the matter in a responsible manner,’ he said.
