Streets in the northern Greek town…
Streets in the northern Greek town of Katerini are covered in floodwaters following heavy rain yesterday, which temporarily halted the train service between north and southern Greece due to flooded tracks at Platamonas and Leptokarya, near Katerini. In the area of Larissa, further south, firemen had to rescue 15 schoolchildren from a bus that got stuck crossing a dry streambed that flash floods had turned into a raging torrent.
