Devout Orthodox Christians offer prayers in Athens Cathedral yesterday before an icon from Jerusalem that arrived in the capital on Monday for a 10-day stay and which they believe causes miracles. Thousands of people queued for hours to see the icon, which attracted 2.5 million pilgrims when exhibited in Thessaloniki last month.
