Ministers gather around PM Costas Simitis early yesterday after the government passed the 2003 State budget. The proposal got 156 votes (the same number as PASOK party’s deputies) against 139. ‘This a signal for us to continue with our economic policy,’ Simitis said, ‘to bring about social and economic convergence in all sectors.’
