Media interest was high as Foreign Minister George Papandreou visited Skopje yesterday, on the first leg of a three-day tour of the Western Balkans, his first foreign trip since Greece took over the EU’s rotating presidency. ‘We are already in a much more stable Balkans. We want to continue the stabilization and reassure everyone that we have a European future for all the region,’ Papandreou said. He also visited Tirana yesterday.
